Police broke down the door of the concession building at an old Little League field on Fallon Drive in West Richland after getting reports of a very strong smell coming from the area.

Police and the Benton County Coroner say they found a man, probably in his late 20's or early 30's inside, dead.   Reports indicate there was a shotgun inside, but the coroner was not ready to say it was a suicide.

Reports indicate nobody had keys to the building, whoever the man was probably entered through a window. Dental records are being used to try to identify the person.

According to city records, the field, formerly known as Elks Field, was a predecessor to the modern Bombing Range Baseball complex, and the building had not been used for a number of years.
