An assistant principal at Moses Lake High School was suspended after allegations he abused his foreign exchange student. The allegations quickly unraveled after basic fact-checking by police. Turns out, the girl was mad she didn't get to go to a party.

A teenager from Spain staying with a Moses Lake family asked to attend a party with other foreign exchange students. After learning the party's host sometimes tolerated drugs and alcohol, they told her no. She was so upset she told police her host father molested her.

The man is a professional educator and it almost cost him his career. But from the very beginning police refused to release information about the investigation. It eventually became clear the girl's story didn't make sense and police were trying to protect all parties involved.
