Most of the time, when somebody boosts a car, they don't go tooling around town, using it as their daily driver. Usually, stolen cars are stripped for parts, or repainted or altered and sold. But then, some not so bright criminals just drive them around.

Tuesday, a 1987 White Nissan Maxima was reported stolen in Pasco, the victim filed a full police report.

Then, Thursday night just after 11:03pm, Officer Chad Acock with the Pasco PD was on patrol, and spotted the vehicle. Officers receive updated reports on stolen vehicles, and while driving around, do keep their eyes peeled.

In this case, Officer Acock promptly pulled the car over, and 34-year-old Eugenio Carcia Cruz was arrested. He's now in the Franklin County jail on an investigative hold for auto theft.
