Richland and Kennewick police teamed up to catch a potentially dangerous threatening man, who was also apparently suicidal Monday night.

Just before 7pm, a 911 call alerted police there was a man at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, armed with a gun and threatening staff.

Police arrived within 90 seconds, and four officers began to search for the suspect, identified as Matthew Ganz of Kennewick. He reportedly threatened to kill multiple workers and also was vocally suicidal.

Benton County Sheriff's and Kennewick police also arrived and began to search the entire facility. Ganz was seen on closed circuit TV, but then the search determined he had fled the campus.

However, a short time later Kennewick police spotted him driving his truck, and he was swarmed and arrested. He's facing felony harassment-threat to kill charges, and DUI. No one was harmed in the incident.
