Suspect in Custody for Stabbing Woman Multiple Times

Kennewick police are still investigating and gathering evidence at the scene of a brutal stabbing the occurred Wednesday afternoon.

Around 1:40pm, officers arrived to find a woman, 40-year-old Dania Alhafeth, lying in her apartment in the 500 block of South Olympia Street. She'd been stabbed repeatedly, and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say it's a domestic violence situation. Her husband, Abdul Rahman U Sweidan, has been booked as a suspect into the Benton County jail.
