Kennewick police were alerted Monday afternoon about a man who was trying to use a cinder block to break out the windows of a Sherriff's deputy vehicle.

The Franklin County officer, who lives in Kennewick, was off duty. The suspect, later identified as 18-year-old Jordan Blum, unsuccessfully tried to break open the windows. The deputy confronted him, but Blum then fled on a stolen bike.

However, Kennewick police nailed him a few blocks away, riding the bike stolen from the Deputy's home. Blum is facing a variety of charges for his stunt.
