A number of vehicles in the 600 block of East 3rd in Kennewick were damaged by several vandals, who sprayed graffiti on them in numerous places.

Authorities responded  late Wednesday night, early Thursday morning to a report from a woman who said she saw several subjects in her front yard.

Officers found at least four vehicles had been spray painted, or tagged. The suspects fled after the woman confronted them, but before officers arrived. However judging from the content of the spraying, police had an idea who the culprit might be.

Officers went to a home in the 100 block of East 4th, where 18-year-old Jose Sandoval and two juvenile suspects, one male and one female, were found. After an investigation, Sandoval is in the Benton County jail, the two juveniles are in the Detention Center on Canal Drive.

Police did not say if it was gang related or motivated. It is also not known if the suspects targeted the specific cars that were tagged, but you will notice one of the vehicles pictured has a Mexican license plate. It reads 'Colima,' which is hundreds of miles South of the U.S.-Mexican border.
