If you've been in the Tri-Cities for even a few weeks, you will have heard about Boat Races. That magical weekend at the end of July where Pasco and Kennewick become host to a river-side montage of beer, sunburns, partying, and oh yeah, hydro-boat races...

It's an exciting time of the year, the biggest annual event in the Tri-Cities.

Due to budget cuts, the Air Force has refused to perform flyovers at large community gatherings. They are resuming this year, but only at 450 events. The jets were requested at 5,000. Water Follies will get an F-16 but The Pendleton Round-Up was snubbed.

The Miss Tri-Cities Scholarship Pageant invites all women between the ages of 13 and 24 to enter the competition to be held during the week of the Water Follies in July.

An exciting event is returning to the Tri-Cities, hasn't been held here since 1984!

We had a boat race party this last weekend and everybody was in the river -- well, almost everybody. Those that weren't kept saying, "I can't believe they're swimming in that river! I'd NEVER swim in that river!" What about you?
