A Thrilling victory at Toyota Center Thursday night has tied up the Western Conference Semi Finals between Tri City and Spokane at 2-2...

After being badly outplayed Tuesday, the Ams stormed the ice and for the most part, controlled the game.  Despite falling behind 2-0, Tri City came back  with big goals from Patrick Holland, Kruise Reddick and Brendan Shinniman to take a 3-2 lead.  Spokane would tied the game on the second goal of the night from Tyler Johnson and the teams headed for the extra period.   Despite launching 12 shots at each other's goals, Spokane and TC headed for a second O.T.  2:32 into the extra period, Tyler Schmidt blasted a loose puck just over the glove of Spokane goalie James Reid, send the crowd of 3,888 into a frenzy.   Both Drew Owsley and Reid were amazing in net, making save after save, as the two teams combined for 99 shots.   This game was the 7th longest in Tri City playoff history among their 37 post season games, and reminded many of the epic 2008 series in the Conference finals that saw three O.T. games, two going to double over time.   Tri City and Spokane meet again Sunday evening at Toyota Center, with a special 7:30 start time.   With a win, the Americans would travel to Spokane needing only to take one of the next two games to advance to the conference finals against the winner of the Portland Kelowna Series.  Come on out to Toyota Center Sunday night and cheer on the Ams.
