Ten Whackiest College Sanctioned Sports–University Of Oregon Discgolf

We know it as “frisbee golf” but don’t tell that to the folks at the University of Oregon in Eugene.
Over 70 universities and colleges offer a disc golf team. It ‘s simple–get the disc to touch the target in the fewest possible tosses. Probably easier than golf, because you don’t have to retrieve your clubs when you throw them in the lake! The National Collegiate Disc Golf Union sanctions the national championships, which Oregon won over Augusta State, who were the previous champions. No word if they actually offer scholarships in this sport. But it is fun to throw around the frisbee! It is one of a large number of club sports Oregon offers.
