Theft Suspect ID’d Because He Left his Backpack At Crime Scene

Kennewick police were able to quickly identify  a grab-and-go theft suspect for a pretty simple reason.

According to reports, Police were called to the 7-11 store on Clearwater across from Walker's Furniture Tuesday after a suspect grabbed a 24-can case of beer, then fled the store without paying.

Officers arrived quickly, but didn't have to go far to identify the suspect, named as Sean Keene (age not reported), because he had left his personal backpack at the crime scene and it contained number of personal items.  Whoops!

Authorities say he will likely be in custody soon.
