Perhaps he didn't realize many automated fueling stations now have those  pesky little security cameras right on the pump?  Authorities seeking this man in connection with illegal use of a stolen or lost gas card.

Mike Blatman, Crime Prevention Specialist for the Kennewick Police Department, says since March 1st, a local fuel vendor has reported over $5,000 worth of fuel has been taken by way of a stolen or lost gas card. The card  has been illegally used at Pacific Pride fueling stations in Kennewick, Pasco, Richland and Eltopia. Regardless even if it was 'lost',  it's illegal to use it.  We're thinking probably stolen, because you'd have to know the PIN or sign-in code to use the card.

The specific company who's card is being misused was not revealed.

The image here shows the suspect using the card at the Cottonwood Connell Oil station near the intersection of Badger and I-82 in Kennewick.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at (509)-586-TIPS. ALL information is confidential. Information leading directly to the apprehension of a wanted suspect can result in a cash reward.

Given the current price today of fuel, as of Tuesday by way of GasBuddy, the amount of the theft is in excess of 2,300 gallons of fuel!
