In 1986 Dolly Parton debuted a made-for-TV movie on ABC inspired loosely by "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves."

"A Smokey Mountain Christmas" set in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee was Parton's fourth full-length movie made in between "Rhinestone" and "Steel Magnolias."

She plays Lorna Davis, a popular singer who heads to the Smokey Mountains to avoid the paparazzi on her Christmas holiday alone.

Inside her cabin are seven orphans who have escaped the orphanage.

She falls in love with a woodsman and is hunted by a paparazzo and the local sheriff (plus a bonafide witch in love with with the sheriff).
