Wednesday, shortly before noon, Kennewick First Responders and police were called to a home in the 4800 block of West 9th for a report of a two-year-old boy found unconscious under the water.

Officials did not say how long he was submerged, or any other real details, except this morning sources were reporting the boy, named Gage, had died.  He had been rushed to TRIOS ER Southridge, and last report Wednesday was he was being treated.

However, the tragic news came down Thursday morning.  KAPP-KVEW TV is reporting a Go-Fund-Me account has been set up to assist the family, and so far has raised over $9,000.

The person who set it up is Crystal Percifield, who says she is trying to raise funds to help with final arrangements for her "sister and brother."

Some 75 people have already contributed to help the family in this tragedy.  The investigation continues, but no other information has been released. KVEW reports the family is asking for "time as they heal."
