Have you ever heard of CPR that didn't require you putting your mouth on that of the victim? It's called Hands Only CPR. Tomorrow (Sat. 6/30) you can learn it while you shop at the Pasco Farmer's Market! Here's the press release from Ben Shearer with PFD:
"Pasco Fire will be one of the many extra attractions at the Pasco Farmers Market this Saturday from 8-12. Come test your family’s home fire escape plan. Find out if your home has enough smoke alarms, and what you can do if they don't.
Also, you and your family can learn about Hands Only CPR. This form of CPR does not require rescue breathing on adults and only takes minutes to learn. Come by and see a demonstration, and even give it a try if you’re willing.  Instructors will be on hand to coach you. The life you save maybe that of a family member.
We will also be showing off the new Pulse point app.  It will alert you if someone with-in a half mile of you is having Sudden Cardiac Arrest.  You can respond and put your Hands Only CPR to work, while the fire department is responding to the call.
