After initially appearing to have reached an agreement with a local car dealer for naming rights of the TRAC (Trade Recreation Agriculture Convention) facility in Pasco, it remains in doubt.

It's due to a pair of factors, according to yaktrinews.com. One is, officials are concerned the proposed name would 'detract' or take away from TRAC itself. The name proposed by West Coast Auto Dealers is "West Coast Auto Dealers TRAC Convention Center."

The other factor is the cost of changing the signage. TRAC officials say it could cost up to $100K to modify all the signage, including the neon electrical ones on the outside of the building. However, West Coast has agreed to foot that bill.

West Coast had offered $1 million dollars spread over ten years for the naming rights. County officials tabled the idea, and will reconsider it next week.
