Tuesday's crash between a Ben Franklin bus and a potato truck clogged up Highway 395 and the Southridge area for some time. Fortunately, no fatalities, although one person was said to have been critically injured and was taken just up the road to TRIOS ER at Southridge.

Courtesy of Kennewick police and fire, here's a look at the extent of the damage. Although details are still being released,   We've heard reports the brakes failed on the truck, still awaiting confirmation.

Tests will be run on the truck to determine if the brakes failed, as the driver said. Officials say the truck "t-boned" the bus, and some said if the bus were fully loaded with people the injuries would have been far worse. A 15-year-old boy, says the Tri-City Herald, was considered to have serious injuries, he was the person at TRIOS ER. All five people on the bus were injured in some way.

More information expected soon. The State Patrol says initial reports show drugs or alcohol not suspected in the wreck.
