TEA Party to Host Meet-the-Candidates Event Tonight at Mid-Columbia Library

Meet local and state candidates at meeting

The public is invited to meet many of the candidates running for local and state offices tonight at 7 p.m. at the Mid-Columbia Library branch at 1620 S. Union Street in Kennewick. 

Candidates expected to attend include:

  • Lisa Douglas – Franklin County Fire District 3
  • Rick Fehr – Kennewick Public Hospital District Pos. 5
  • Wanda Briggs – Kennewick Public Hospital District Pos. 5
  • Leo Bowman – Port of Kennewick Commission Pos. 2
  • Winthrop Taylor – Benton County Fire District Commission Pos. 2
  • Bob Parks, Gregory Jones, Matt Boehnke, and Don Britain – Kennewick City Counciil
  • Melody Reed,  Eric Kalia, Richland City Council
  • Lloyd Becker, Ron Higgins, Heather Cleary, Richland School Board
  • Dawn Adams, Kennewick School Board
  • Steve Christensen, Pasco School Board
  • Merle Johnson, Brent Gerry, Mayor of West Richland
  • Sharon Brown, Washington State Senate, 8th District.

Ballots for August primaries will be going out soon and this meeting will give voters a chance to get information about the candidates.
