The Benton County Clean Air Authority rated Monday's air as 'unhealthy.'  According to their website, we are in a state of red.  Air pollution level was at 160, whereas last Friday when it was clear we were at 19.  And, it's not going to get better. We're currently in the bright red.

Due largely to the mostly uncontained Okanogan Complex fire, and 15 others burning around the region,  we are seeing what is called unhealthy air.

The Authority Monday reported an air quality index of 160, which is considered unhealthy.  Due to atmospheric conditions and other factors plus the smoke, the air Tuesday could be slightly worse, and could continue for much of the week.

When air is considered unhealthy,  all persons should try to limit time spent outdoors and especially consider, if possible, moving exercise or other strenuous activities indoors.
