The Tri-City Americans have had a great tradition of goaltenders including current one Eric Comrie. It appears another great one is on the horizon!

16-year-old netminder Evan Sarthou stepped into the starting role Tuesday against a fast and physical Swift Current Broncos team.

He stopped 30-plus shots en-route to a 4-1 win.

Comrie, one of the top NHL prospects, will carry the bulk of the load, but even he needs some nights off.

The only goal Sarthou surrendered came by way of a video review!

After making a big save he swiped aside the rebound while sprawled on the ice in front of the net. However video review showed it supposedly just crossed the line.

The youngster stood tall and made some spectacular saves in securing the win.

Sarthou talked with Americans broadcaster Craig West about his first career victory:
