18-year-old Tyler Sandhu will be joining the team in time for this Friday's game vs. Seattle.

Sandhu, who has played in all 28 games for the Red Deer Rebels, is no stranger to active Americans fans.  He formerly played for the Everett Silvertips for three seasons, including scoring 19 goals as a 16-year-old for the 'Tips.

According to General Manager Bob Tory:

“Tyler is an offensive forward who scored 19 goals with Everett as a 16-year-old. With our long-term injuries, we needed to add a forward to our team. We look forward to Tyler joining our team for our home game Friday against Seattle.”

The Americans gave the Rebels a 4th. Round Bantam (WHL) draft pick in both 2016 and 2017 in the exchange.  The Americans have suffered some key injuries, and are looking to bounce back into contention in a very tight U.S. Division in the WHL.

Sandhu is expected to add some offense, as he has scored 41 goals and 82 points in his WHL career.
