As the indoor football team Tri Cities Fever get ready for a 10th season, it won't include one of the most striking mascots in the Pacific Northwest.

The Fever announced Monday the revamped program, which includes new ticket packages, events and other fan-oriented changes, will also include a new mascot.

Starting Tuesday, Aug. 13, fans can submit ideas for what the mascot should look like, as well as its name. The contest will run for two weeks, wrapping up Aug. 27. The winning entry will receive two season tickets, and those people will also be part of the on-field unveiling of the new mascot at the first home game of the season.

Fans can submit as many ideas as they wish, and they can be emailed to info@tricitiesfever.com.
