In our continuing series of seemingly never-ending gaffes, mistakes and serious crimes committed by TSA workers, a TSA employee was arrested in Miami for attempting to bring an unlicensed gun into a restricted area of the airport.

Eduardo Valdez, a 29 year old TSA Screener, was arrested by airport police and security after a gun was seen in his bag that he was bringing into what is called a "sterile" or weapon free area of Miami International Airport. Valdez admitted the gun was his, but that he forgot it was in his bag.  Never mind that police discovered the gun was unlicensed and he did not have a concealed weapons permit.   Mr. Valdez is currently in the Miami-Dade County Jail.  You would think a "highly trained" TSA agent would be well aware of the do's and don'ts of airport security, but then consider that another TSA employee has just been arrested on child pornography charges. So much for the Feds employment screening procedures. 41 year old Michael Scott Wilson who worked at  Maryland airport facilities is free on bond after being arrested on posession of child pornography. Wilson, who is married with no children, has only been suspended from his job, pending further investigation.
