Two Kennewick Men Arrested for Child Rape in Connection with Runaway 12-Year-Old Girl

Kennewick police report the two men are in the Benton County jail.

According to Sgt. Ken Lattin, the 12-year-old girl from Mesa ran away from home February 2nd.  She reportedly received a ride to Kennewick from the two defendants, 28-year-old James Austin Cody Draughon and 22-year-old Christopher Taylor Carver.

Police say she ended up at the apartment of her boyfriend (Carver) at 1212 West 10th.  While there she had consensual sex with both men.   Her mother was able to contact her the next day and went to pick her up.  When she learned of the sexual activity, the mother drove her daughter to Kadlec Regional Medical Center for an exam.

Police were called and the identity of the two men was obtained.  They are now facing 2nd. Degree Child Rape Charges.
