If you've gone to any number of Tri-City Americans games, and pay halfway attention, you've heard these officials names. Referee Brett Iverson, and Linesman Nathan Van Oosten.  They're considered among the best in the Western Hockey League, and CHL.

Now, they're headed to South Korea for the Winter Olympics, where they will be officiating the hockey competitions. Although they were notified at the very beginning of December about their nominations, both hopped on planes Thursday and headed across the Pacific.

Both have refereed the Memorial Cup, the championship of the Canadian Hockey League, but this could potentially serve as a springboard (if they wish) to head to the NHL.

So, until we see them again in the Toyota Center, we will be watching for them on NBC TV.  Iverson was one of the referees Wednesday night when the Americans beat Victoria 7-1 in the Toyota Center.
