According to the Southeast Region containment team Incident Commander, the difficult fire is rapidly being surrounded.

The fire, which broke out over Sunday two miles South of Mabton, is now 75% contained, and by end of Tuesday, expected to be 100%.

Chris Hutsell, Incident Commander, says crews are now focused on mopping up on 200 foot perimeters around structures, and 50 foot perimeters around the fire itself.

Glade Road will remain closed until Tuesday afternoon, the fire is said to have burned at least 10,669 acres. One outbuilding was consumed, no other losses or injuries reported. Some fire crews are already being released.
