A call to the store confirmed the closure, which is slated for November 12th.

Sources have told Newstalk 870 the store is closing by that date.  We have also learned the Vancouver, WA store is closing, but that is not known if it's related. According to the Columbian Newspaper online, that  closure is because the building owner is not renewing the lease for the store in Vancouver.

We called the store, and all employees could tell us was they were closing, and planned some sort of massive sale to pare down inventory, likely slated for November 11th and 12th.

We will continue to update information as it becomes available.  The Kennewick store is located on Columbia Center Boulevard, south of the Columbia Center Mall.

A store employee told Newstalk870 once the sale is over with, the store will be gone from the Tri-Cities market for good. The Yakima location will remain open. The chain closed a Seattle area store less than two years ago as well.
