According to poll results released by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB)  while WA small business owners are not opposed to be responsible towards the environment,  Gov. Inslee needs to throttle it Way Back.

Two polls were taken of several thousand  small business owners and other business leaders last week, by the Washington State Chapter of the NFIB.  Among the findings from the polls:

*86% of small business owners were NOT aware of Inslee's controversial ideas for limiting or cutting carbon emissions from vehicles (low-carbon fuels)

*96% want an open and transparent process when it comes to the Governor's environmental ideas.

*95% said NO when asked if Inslee should use executive orders, as he has threatened, to enact his plans for the environment.

*69% believe any significant environmental actions desired by Gov. Inslee should be put to a vote of the people!

*66% of these small business owners don't think Inslee's plans will have ANY significant effect, or effect at all, on the environment.   They also felt Inslee's ideas for raising fuel prices over $1.00 per gallon by forcing use of low-carbon fuels is too extreme and would hurt business and consumers.

The NFIB also polled registered voters along with these small business owners.  Their opinions mirrored those of the business study.

The conclusions drawn from these studies show an overwhelming rejection of Gov. Inslee's radical ideas, by thousands of business owners and citizens.  Perhaps he will pay attention, since these businesses make up the bulk of our economy.

But then again,  given how he's forgotten his campaign promises of no new taxes, one cannot be sure he will.
