Apparently the public input forums about the process for legalizing marijuana sales are proving more popular than predicted.

Several forums have already been held in Olympia and Seattle and attracted such large crowds the Washington State Liquor Control Board has re-booked several events into larger venues.

The next such public forum happens tomorrow in Spokane at 6 p.m. in the Spokane Convention Center. During these meetings, the Board is taking input from citizens as to how they think legalization should be implemented. It's the measure that legalized possession of up to one ounce of marijuana for adults 21 and over and the state-run growing, harvesting, and sale of marijuana for recreational smoking.

The closest such meeting will be held in Yakima, Feb. 21. It is scheduled for the Yakima City Hall Chambers on 1st Street. No word has been given if this event will be moved to a larger venue. The state expects to have the entire marijuana growing, distribution and sale system up and running by December.
