Authorities had been searching for multiple suspects in a shooting that occurred at the troublesome Paddock Grain Elevator area near Walla Walla in late July. One suspect apprehended in Kentucky, one still at large.

July 27th Walla Walla county sheriff's responded to the Paddock Elevator area in Walla Wall County, and found a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital and later flown to Harborview in Seattle.

Friday Walla Walla authorities said one of the suspects, 19-year-old Ricardo Miguel Maldanado (pictured at left) has been located and apprehended in Kentucky. He was captured without incident, and his extradition to Walla Walla County is being processed. He and another suspect, 22--year-old Leonardo Corona-Venegas, were wanted for the shooting.

Venegas, at right in picture, is still at large and considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is urged not to make contact, but alert authorities immediately.
