Walla Walla police are still searching for the driver of a car that on Friday that took down an entire light pole, did a lot of damage then fled the scene.

Police were called to the intersection of Myra Road by Poplar Street, and found this scene. The car apparently hit the light pole at what police said what a very high rate of speed, judging from the damage. The crash occurred shortly after midnight Friday morning.

However, the car was unoccupied. It was unclear if airbags were deployed, police didn’t say and it doesn’t appear they did from the photos.

Anyone with any information is asked to call (509)-527-4434.
