Wanted Pasco Felon Brake Checks Officer, Dumps Car

The search is on for a Pasco suspect who was able to dump his car and flee officers in Benton County after being pursued by Pasco police.

38-year-old Elias Junior Sanchez is wanted for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend, who is pregnant, violating a no-contact order and holding her against her will, and eluding police.

His car was spotted by a Pasco officer Wednesday evening, who did an abrupt U-Turn and began to pursue him.  Sanchez tried to brake-check the police car twice, but no damage occurred. The officer terminated the pursuit after Sanchez fled towards Benton County. Other officers were called in, but when this car, the blue Lincoln, was found later it was abandoned.
