Monday, a wanted suspect tried to escape from Kennewick police and US Marshalls, only to end up going to the hospital for dehydration--and in handcuffs.

42-year-old Trevor Rubbert was wanted by authorities on an arrest warrant, he was considered a fugitive by the Marshalls.

When contacted at an apartment complex near North Shepard place and Kennewick Ave, he fled up into the attic. It took officers nearly 2 hours to convince him to come down, when he did, he was suffering from dehydration. After a visit to TRIOS ER Southridge (in handcuffs) he was taken into custody.

Seems lately the old 'hide in the attic' trick is just not working for wanted suspects.
