Wanted Suspect Seen at Archery Range, Flees Police in Heavy Underbrush

Monday, Richland police spotted a wanted felony suspect, but when he fled on foot, the chase was called off.

34-year-old Daniel Wright was spotted at the Colyak Bowhunters Archery Range on Hall Road just West of Richland Tuesday. The range is on the West side of the Bypass Highway.

Police attempted to track him after he saw them and fled, but the K-9 search was called off because Wright ran into an area that's covered in heavy underbrush and vegetation. There were concerns for officer safety. Police didn't say if he was armed with a bow or other weapons.
