We're used to hot weather in the Mid-Columbia, but here comes the first real big heat wave.

According to the National Weather Service in Pendleton, with data from Tri-Cities, we're going to hit 107 by Wednesday.

Monday will start off with 100, 105 Tuesday, 108 Wednesday and back to 104 Thursday.  Limit your activities outdoors during the day if at all possible, especially for children and elderly people.

Water the animals, and provide them with plenty of shade and a place to cool off, such as a kiddie pool.  Temps are expected to drop back to the century mark or lower by Friday or Saturday.

Stay Thirsty my friends!
