Warrior Sisterhood’s Pink The Parkway is Saturday
Why you should care: It’s October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the public is bombarded with pink ribbons and national awareness campaigns. It’s your chance to help local women affected by cancer and find out how they’re helping others get through a traumatic cancer diagnosis.
The event features live music, two cancer survivor fashion shows, Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen Tri-Cities,vendors, dance and cheer demonstrations, a silent auction and an after-party at Gaslight. The MSA-sponsored Kid Zone features balloon animals, face painting, temporary tattoos, bouncy house, nail painting and temporary hair color.
When: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21
Where: The Parkway in Richland, between George Washington Way and Jadwin Avenue. Same location as the Richland Farmers Market.
Cost: $25 for adults, $10 for kids. Tickets can be purchased at Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation office in Kennewick or at the event. All proceeds stay local and go to Warrior Sisterhood.
