Today is the 20th Annual Lunar Buggy Race! Every year, hundreds of colleges and high schools submit to NASA PowerPoint presentations, designs, and blueprints for their human-powered moon buggy. The top 100 teams that have a feasible design and meet the criteria are selected to race their buggies today and tomorrow. A team from CBC is in Florida competing for the first time ever!

The challenge: The buggy must be built up from scratch. It needs to be man powered and able to fit into a 4X4 cube. The buggy needs to be assembled in 5 minutes and ready to run a 0.7 mile course without falling apart.
Each member from the 100 teams selected have already received a $2,000 scholarship. The top 10 qualifying teams will receive a $50,000 scholarship.
