With the recent story about many i-Phone users reportedly trying to recharge their phones in microwaves (it turned out to be a clever hoax ad on the internet), we were inspired to look up similar signs of stupidity.  Other times, signs are posted where they're not necessary - the point of us thinking "nice job, Captain Obvious."    Sometimes they're done by well-meaning people,  sometimes not.

Warning labels serve a useful purpose - keep out fingers, arms, legs and even brains intact.   Sometimes they're necessary in the workplace, dangerous equipment etc.

But often, warning labels take on levels of unintentional humor for one BIG reason:   Somebody, somewhere actually tried to use the product in such a rediculous or dangerous way that a warning label became necessary.

So with that in mind, we present just a few gems we've found ourselves.
