Fascinated by "tiny houses"? You and the rest of America. For years it was go big or go home, and now everyone is looking for the simpler life uncluttered by debt and too much stuff you don't need. But there's a MAJOR PROBLEM with tiny houses that will make you rethink your fantasy.

Several communities, including eco-friendly Portland and freedom-loving rural Washington, have said no tiny houses outside of trailer parks!

Because the homes are remodeled trailers, they can't reside behind a house, or on a house lot, or on a vacant lot, or in the woods. They need to be in a trailer parking site.

Not only does that make them more expensive, but it also makes them less appealing!

Lobby your local government if you want that changed, but as of now it appears to be a universal standard throughout the Northwest.
