More often than not, we in the media come across stories of criminals who commit crimes, and have an accomplice, or somebody with them who's also wanted by the law. Stupidity in duplicate?

Case in point, Tuesday afternoon Kennewick officers tried to pull over a driver who ran a red light. At that point he sped away, and officers quickly boxed him in because it was deemed he was posing a threat to other motorists.

23-year-old Keoki Mendoza was finally stopped in the 700 block of South Volland, and cited for eluding, driving without a valid license, and an outstanding arrest warrant. Not to be outdone, his passenger, 25-year-old Xavier Calhoun, was also found to be the subject of several outstanding warrants, and was also taken into custody.

Chances are, in a few weeks, their vehicle (white car pictured between patrol vehicles) will be up for auction at a local towing company. Upon arrest of a driver, vehicles are impounded by the responding tow company, and given the daily storage fees, most perps cannot afford to get them back when they get out of jail.

Therefore, be watching for an uber cheap car becoming available soon.
