Woman Finds Purple Heart at Goodwill Looking For Hero’s Family

I spotted this post on Facebook this morning and it made me sad that a hero's Purple Heart Medal ended up at a Goodwill store on sale for $4.99. The woman, who I do not know personally, took it upon herself to purchase the medal and try to find the deceased man's family....here's the scoop

According to her post the Purple Heart belonged to Eual H. Whiteman who is deceased. Someone else commented and had this to say...

Someone I know stated this when I shared your link Laurie :Linda McIntyre Jones :Google search says he is from Missouri. Maybe start some sort of search there. Also he is buried in Portland, Oregon. Lived there last.
