Would-Be Criminal Found to Be Having Psychological ‘Crisis’
Officers in Kennewick were called to the Mongolian and Pho Restaurant on West Kennewick Avenue Monday night, but discovered the suspect was actually having a mental health crisis.
Officers were called to the establishment on a report of a man acting strangely with a knife. But upon arrival, and after talking with the suspect and restaurant staff, it turns out Jerry Combs was having what was determined to be a mental health crisis, and had not committed a crime.
He was first cleared at the hospital for physical health, then taken to a mental health treatment center in Richland for additional care.
