Friday morning, yet another accident occurred in the Tri-Cities, the result of one driver failing to yield, or otherwise pay attention.

Kennewick police responded to the scene, near the intersection of 50th and Anderson, for this wreck between a work van and the white car.

Little else information was released. Police said no one was injured, but one of the drivers was cited for failure to yield. They didn't say which driver.

We've been keeping close tabs on these kinds of accidents, and they have noticeably increased in the last year or so.  It seems almost daily there's at least one wreck directly attributed to a driver failing to yield.

From the damage, it appears the car struck the van, because the van doesn't have the impact damage that would be caused by initiating contact. But again, police didn't say.
