15-Year-Old Suspect Arrested for Attempted Sprague Kidnapping

A shocking revelation about the attempted abduction of a 22-month old boy south of Spokane is the suspect is only a teenager!

Lincoln County deputies arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with last Sunday's attempted kidnapping. Authorities say they zeroed-in on a suspect who lives in Sprague, where the incident occurred, after reviewing surveillance video, evidence, interviews and even DNA.

Sheriffs have not released any information about the suspect except that he has been booked into a juvenile facility on 2nd Degree kidnapping charges. The toddler was safely found after teenagers who witnessed the event chased the suspect, and likely forced him to drop the boy.

Authorities also say the suspect was identified from a photo montage by one of the toddler's siblings and family members who were also chasing him. Below is surveillance footage of the suspect carrying the child, and people chasing him.
