6 Prosser Schools Put on Lockdown Because of Man With Knife [UPDATE]

At the request of Prosser Police, Prosser School District placed the following schools on lockdown: Heights Elementary, Housel Middle School, Keene-Riverview Elementary, Prosser High School, Whitstran Elementary and Prosser Falls High School.

The reason was a man in the area with a knife. An emergency alert was sent to parents early in the 8 o'clock hour Thursday. The lockdown was over by 10 a.m.

(UPDATE)  police are still seeking the stabbing suspect, who is believed to have stabbed his girlfriend.  Police say the woman told them he did it.  They are looking for 21-year-old Christian Ramos.
