Appropriate–Pink Fire Retardant Used on Candy Mountain Fire
West Richland PD and other officials are praising the teamwork of Benton County and other fire crews, for suppressing the Candy Mountain fire that broke out around 1am Friday morning. We couldn't help but notice the color of the preventative fire retardant used near the blaze.
Police say a great joint effort with Benton County Sheriff's, Richland, West Richland police, Benton County fire crews and others were able to stop the fast moving fire from moving across Kennedy road.
Although some homes were evacuated, fire crews were able to stop and contain the blaze.
It's rather ironic the fire retardant used on Candy Mountain (pictures) was...pink.
