Per information released from the WSDOH and WIAA, starting next Monday, high school athletes will be allowed to resume limited team sport practices.

The WIAA says most schools will be allowed to utilize what are referred to as 'pods' or groups of up to six athletes working on certain skills-practicing together. It's presumed taking into the account the size of their facilities, that multiple pods could be utilized.

It will be accompanied by symptom screening, cleaning, sanitation and certain requirements for mask wearing. In most counties, including Benton Franklin and Walla Walla, tournaments, competitions and spectators are still not allowed.

No specific mention of which sports will be most likely affected, but more details expected next week.
