Armed Robber Located, Still Wearing Red Bandanna Over Face
Pasco Police continue to investigate a Sunday night robbery at the A & A Mini Mart on West Court in Pasco.
Around 8PM, police say a bald Hispanic man described as being in his 30's came in, displayed a gun and demanded money from the clerk. Police said he didn't take anything from the store, presumably referring to merchandise aside from the money. He was wearing a red bandanna over his face.
He then fled on foot. Pasco Police began to canvass the surrounding area, and sure enough, the suspect was located, partly because he was still wearing the red bandanna used to disguise his face. The suspect, 29-year-old Rafael Mejia-Vireutta, is not only facing armed robbery charges, but also wanted on two outstanding warrants.
He was identified not only by the clerk, but by surveillance images at the scene, including the red bandanna.
