Authorities continue to investigate the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old man.

Joshua J. Snapp is scheduled to be autopsied by the Benton County coroner after he was found dead early July 4th near the Horn Rapids ORV Park.

Police say Joshua J. Hunt, 19 and 18-year-old John C. Young reported lured Stapp to the area for the purpose of smoking marijuana.   Authorities say the two men then allegedly shot Snapp in the head and torso, after confronting him about money he owed them, and they also accused him being a police informant, or "snitch."

Young reportedly told a clerk at the Benton City Conoco to call 911 as there had been a shooting out in the desert.   Police are also searching for a backpack the two suspects allegedly threw into the Yakima river.  Two suspects are in the Benton County jail on an investigative hold.
