With fire danger very high, it doesn't take much to set off a blaze.

Thursday, Pasco fire crews and other units responded to a brush fire at Road 40 East and Sacajawea Park Road. The fire was spotted by some patrol units and fire crews were able to get it under control before it threatened anyone.

Authorities didn't say what caused it, but given our very dry conditions and high fire danger, they're urging everyone to be extra careful with activities anywhere near fields, brush or other dry vegetation. All it takes is one spark.
